Whitefish Montana
Well our plan was to head to Glacier today but we got sidetracked in Whitefish, Montana. Awesome ski town with plenty to keep us busy. Our ride here was a little hairy on highway 93. A few times I could have reached out and grabbed hold of the side of one of the massive semis flying by to catch a ride up the hills. Too bad they were flying by doing 80 mph. At least they left us a few inches room. We have finally washed our clothes (not in the Skagit River) and have used the time honored baby wipe method to take a cheap, quick, and almost fresh smelling shower. We are off to find a camp spot for the night and then we head into Glacier to check out some slow moving ice as some may say.

I've never been to Glacier but Maureen has, asked that you look for a bucket of berries she and her sisters left there when scared away by bears some years ago. It's plastic. Blue plastic. Thanks.
Your map has this obvious circle in central Minnesota - is this an allowed day of confusion which you'll use if needed, like a snow day, or is there something in that area which is really, really interesting? What are you eating and how often do you eat at restaurants (since every day is "eating out"), have you tried any B&B, any Hostels? Hope the weather is milder now and the sweet breezes are at your backs. If you've a chance could you drop a line to The Boys to add to their Doorway to Travel & Adventure (3140scenic dr, mars, 16046). We are suffering thru low humidity, clear sky days right now and wish you the same. Look for undulating lines of white pelicans as you head eastward toward Dakota; they summer up here from Texas. See any other x-c cyclists? Near Williston I saw a family with children in trailer plus gear trailer. Pedal on, fellows. ~Team-to-Beat
